1. Thread the coil all the way through the binding edge so that it extends out each end by at least 1/2".

2. Turn the book so that the binding edge with the coil is facing you.

3. Take the coil pliers, with the red dot facing up and insert at the last hole. Squeeze firmly. Spin the coil back towards the hole.

**NOTE:  If you are left handed you would face the red dot on the coil pliers downward.

4. Flip the book over so that the other end of the coil is now at your right hand side. Repeat step 3.
